Managed by volunteers Gillian Warnell and Janice Shersby, LPC was originally founded in June 1994 by Andrew Cockburn and Elizabeth Gundrey.

All events are free from any other additional charge OR cost and are typically  include two annual workshops and four annual, seasonal concerts  and monthly home groups. Home groups are unique to “London Piano Circle” and offer a great opportunity to meet members and gain performing experience in a friendly and supportive environment in a members home.

The LPC is run by volunteers on a not-for-profit basis, and all subscriptions and ticket sales go towards venue hire, tutor fees and associated running costs.

Former workshop tutors have included Charles Owen, Philip Fowke, Graham Fitch, Frank Wibaut and Philip Smith to name a few.

Newsletters are issued three times a year, in September, December and May.

Participation: Events are open to ALmembers, regardless of level or experience.

Opportunities for a performance place in masterclasses can be popular and occasionally performance opportunities may have to be done on a rotation basis taking into account when you last played. Every effort will be made to ensure All performance requests to play at concerts is granted, ensuring performance opportunities for those that wish to play.  Virtuosity of the repertoire offered is not a factor at all and duets are most welcome.
