London Piano Circle, is members group of friendly adult amateur piano enthusiasts, who meet to play  piano in members homes, concerts and masterclass/ workshops.

All playing standards are welcome and vary that include, those returning to piano after long break,  those preparing grade exams and performance diplomas.  Members are friendly and supportive, there is no element of competition or judgement.

Homegroups are unique to “London Piano Circle” and offer a great opportunity to meet members and gain performing experience to try out pieces in an informal, friendly and supportive environment in members homes.  Performance nerves are normal regardless of playing ability and experience and these events provide a safe space to gain confidence in playing.

Masterclass/Workshop, opportunities for a performance places are popular may have to be done on a rotation basis taking into account when you last played. Former tutors have included Charles Owen, Philip Fowke, and Roy Howat to name a few.

Newsletters  normally issued – September, January,  and May.

Participation: Events are open to ALmembers regardless of playing level OR experience.

Concerts, All requests to play are met, ensuring equal opportunity for all. Virtuosity of the repertoire offered is not a factor at all,  duets are most welcome.

The LPC is run by volunteers Gillian Warnell and Janice Shersby, originally founded in June 1994 by Andrew Cockburn and Elizabeth Gundrey, on a not-for-profit basis. . All subscriptions and ticket sales go towards venue hire, tutor fees and associated running costs.

LPC Membership -Annual £30 fee, that allow members to participate in events detailed in website and newsletters. Events typically  include workshops, seasonal concerts, piano meet ups and monthly home groups.
